Detlef Hold drives innovative global organizational learning strategies for F. Hoffmann La Roche after a five-year stay in Silicon Valley at Genentech Inc., where he led a people and organizational development capabilities, knowledge management and digital learning strategy in a large-scale transformation program. Previously, he worked in global leadership roles in corporate learning and organizational development, leadership, talent development and team excellence. Prior to joining Roche in 2004, he was deputy head of corporate learning and a leadership, talent and team excellence consultant in a business psychology company.
Detlef holds a master’s in psychology, post-grad certificates in OD/strategic change/facilitation, executive coaching/global leadership development and in agile/innovation/entrepreneurship/design thinking from Trigon Switzerland, Roffey Park UK, Scrum Alliance, Stanford Business School and Columbia Business School.
He is winner of several international learning and innovation awards, judge for Brandon Hall and Chief Learning Officer, steering committee member of the Corporate Learning Network, mentor at the IE Learning Leadership Program, executive coach consultant and has 25 years of experience in corporate organizational learning, talent development and as faculty in higher ed in Switzerland, Ecuador and the U.S. (Stanford).
When not thinking about the future of work, learning or exploring ways to make his family happy, he enjoys open water swimming, biking, inline skating and dog chasing.
