Hillary Miller
Hillary Miller serves as the vice president and chief learning officer for Penn State Health.
With over 15 years of experience, Hillary brings a service record of executive leadership and strategy in professional development, training and onboarding, continuing education and quality. She has previously excelled in roles in public education and for-profit and not-for-profit health care companies ― in both the clinical and revenue cycle settings.
Hillary has held leadership positions at OhioHealth, Medical University of South Carolina, HCA Healthcare and Parallon. She has special interests in gamification, agile learning development and centers of excellence. She began her education career as a special education teacher with a focus in multi-handicap, learning disabilities and reading intervention.
Hillary is passionate about volunteerism and giving back to her community. She cares deeply about creating learning strategies that set learners up for success in current and future roles, while simultaneously focusing on excellence in experience, standards of practice and aligning to business performance goals. She also loves dogs and enjoys riding motorcycles in her free time.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in health administration/information systems and master’s degrees in organizational management/public administration and education. She holds certifications in strategic communications, Lean Six Sigma, Crucial Conversations and EPIC Resolute billing.
