Jeffrey Schwab
Jeffrey Schwab is a native of Lexington, Virginia, who has lived and worked in Asia for the past two decades. After spending one year in Japan, Jeffrey moved to China where he spent 13 years, and currently resides in Taipei, Taiwan, where he lives with his wife and daughter.
A lifelong improviser with a strong growth mindset, Jeffrey has always been drawn toward process-oriented and collaborative learning. He spent eight years working at an experiential education and travel company called The Hutong, dividing his time first in Beijing, and then later relocating to Taipei. He designed numerous cultural and educational travel programs for international students in provinces across China. From the Mongolia steppe to the heights of Mt. Tai and the tea farms in Taiwan, Jeffrey focused on bringing the historical and cultural aspects of travel through collaborations with locals.
When the pandemic hit, Jeffrey learned to dig deep into his philosophy of "embracing uncertainty" and made a complete career change in 2020 when he switched roles to where he now works as the first chief learning officer in a fully Taiwanese company, Pershing Technology Services Corporation (PTSC). Throughout his time at PTSC, Jeffrey has been entrusted and given free rein with this role to help PTSC through its rebranding process in an effort to reach the just cause of transformation into a learning organization. As a founder of the fully bilingual Formosa Improv Group (FIG), Jeffrey uses improv skills on and off the stage, constantly seeking ways to apply it to his personal and professional life.
