Patrick Sutton

Tech leader and creative Patrick Sutton prides himself on having carved out his own path. He has been in the people/learning and development space for over 15 years. Patrick has served as a leader of people functions since 2015. He has worked in various industries such as insurance, education, logistics and tech. Most recently, Patrick has worked in hyper-growth startups like DoorDash and his current company, MainStreet.
Patrick is the head of people, overseeing the entire people cycle for the organization. These functions include learning and development, DEI, compensation and benefits, talent management, recruiting, and employee experience. Two of Patrick’s favorite learning tools and philosophies come from Malcolm Knowles (“The Adult Learner”) and Stephen Yelon (“Powerful Principles of Instruction”).
Patrick is a graduate of Tougaloo College and holds a B.A. in English. He has served on several panels discussing DEI and learning for techies in several mediums.
Patrick is based in Atlanta. He serves on the board of directors for Atlanta Angels, a nonprofit geared toward providing support to foster families and youth.
